Team game · Your best balls add up
How to play Team Lo-Net
Team Lo-Net is a team stroke game. On every hole, add up your team’s lowest net scores — two of them in a 2-Ball game, three in a 3-Ball, one in Best Ball. The lowest team total wins the front nine, the back nine and the full round.

Count your best balls, every hole
Everyone plays their own ball. After each hole, take the agreed number of lowest net scores from your team and add them. Higher scores on that hole are dropped, so a teammate’s rough hole only hurts when it is one of the counted scores.
This invented 2-Ball example is two teams of three, so each team drops its highest net score on every hole. Team totals carry through the nine: winning a hole by three strokes counts three strokes, not one hole.
| Hole | Team A | Team B | Running totals |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 + 5 = 9 (7 dropped) | 4 + 6 = 10 (6 dropped) | A 9 · B 10 |
| 2 | 5 + 6 = 11 (6 dropped) | 4 + 5 = 9 (8 dropped) | A 20 · B 19 |
| 3 | 3 + 4 = 7 (5 dropped) | 5 + 5 = 10 (6 dropped) | A 27 · B 29 |
Front, back and overall
The standard game has three contests: the front nine, the back nine and the full round. In Turnt, every player puts the same agreed amount into each contest, and the team with the lowest total takes it, shared among its players.
Invented example: six players each put 1 unit into the front nine. The winning team of three takes the 6 units, 2 each, so each winner is up 1 unit and each loser is down 1.
Team Lo-Net in Turnt
Turnt offers several counted-ball variants, including 2-Ball, 3-Ball and Best Ball, plus variants that change the count by par. The variant is fixed when the round starts. Teams need at least as many players as the balls that count.
A tie for the lowest total is decided on the hardest handicap hole, then the next hardest. Junk side points can be added and are settled with the same round.
Common questions
What is the difference between Team Lo-Net and best ball?
Best ball counts one score per team. Team Lo-Net can count two or three, so more of the team has to play well.
Does winning more holes matter?
No. It is a total-strokes game: the lowest counted-ball total over the nine or the round wins.
Is Team Lo-Net 3 the same game?
It is a relative. Devil’s Team Lo-Net 3 counts your best three scores and splits the round into three six-hole contests.
